Sonja has worked with TriCounty serving the citizens of Fayette, Lamar and Walker County since 2006. Prior to assuming a full-time position, she volunteered with TriCounty on various projects and contracted to work with individuals with severe medical needs focusing on community inclusion. Sonja is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a MSN in Rural Case Management. Her over 40 years of experience in nursing assists in her skills as a Certified Case Manager, Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional, and MAS Nurse. Sonja was appointed Executive Director of TriCounty AID in October 2012 upon the retirement of Linda Bender.
